The British Empire was able to be part of the Sea trade just accumulation of more wealth but it was necessary for them to take any part since they basically were at all corners in the earth making profits of some sorts. One thing that really surprised me was comparing the SeaTrade to the Silk Roads the level of significances is given more to the Silk Roads but in reality, it's apparent that the Indian Ocean trade is bigger and had more nations and trading traffic, I say this because I remembered in elementary the teacher had three days of class instructed and it made it seem like it was the most significant old trading networks.
