Europeans were far more advanced in the middle of the Industrial Revolution, their machinery was far more scientifically advanced. Due to their advanced technological innovations, they started to have this feeling of superiority compared to other nations. They started to look at poor nations as uncivilized and savages. Europe's mass production meant they needed more raw resources and human labor, Europeans saw this as a chance to colonialize other nations with the raw materials and resources need for their production. Europeans colonized the nations of Asia, Africa, and Pacific Islanders. Many other nations started colonizing underdeveloped nations as a sign of wealth and power starting the age of colonization.
