Sisters of Notre Dame Handout

I wasn't really that familiar with the history of the SIsters of Notre Dame but after reading this handout I learned a lot of what the Sisters and NDNU really stand for. It is very incredible to know the backgrounds of some of the sisters and know the struggle they went to just to make what NDNU is today. It some sense their backgrounds remind of my parent as they went through similar struggles to put me in the place where I am today. I was able to talk to one of the sisters in which she discussed to me about sister Dorothy and how brave and committed she was to help the farm workers get rights and land in the oppressing environment they lived in, which at one point she stated that she wished she could have met sister Dorothy. Although sister Dorothy is not alive today her spirit is very alive with thin the sister and and is an inspiration and role model for the rest of NDNU.
